Pawprints Animal Rescue
I set up Pawprints Animal Rescue in 1999 to help stray and abandoned animals, mainly cats, but dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, terrapins, turtles, giant snails and a few birds have been helped along the way too!
The animals deserve the best start i can give them before they go to their new homes so after dealing with initial health problems (dental work, de-matting fur, illness, treating for parasites) all animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered and homed into vetted homes, adoption forms signed, and follow-up checks done afterwards.
The animals that are not suitable for homing due to health or behavioral problems or old age live in a home environment (not caged) as part of the family for the rest of their lives. Never short of a cuddle around here!
I run Pawprints by myself, and do most of the fundraising by myself (Pawprints receives NO funding and has to raise all money through the generosity of the public), so the number of animals i can help is limited because of the levels of work i have to do, it is usually quite difficult, but i help as many as i possibly can.
Pawprints is currently caring for 50 cats, 6 dogs, 5 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, 5 ferrets and 2 terrapins.
